Day 7/8: Shakespeare said it best, "To be or not to be, that tis question." One question we can ask is,"To eat or not to eat, that tis the question!" Sometimes that can be the hardest question for us to answer. For some they have developed healthy eating habits that make that an easy question to answer. For others, they truly do suffer and face the slings and obstacles of stress and emotional eating which leads to unhealthy eating habits. The holidays are fast approaching the the question "To Eat Or Not To Eat" becomes the underlying factor for some as to how we eat. Enjoy the holidays and as they as everything in moderation.

Who said eating couldn't be art?
I find with this project that as I eat and create meals, the beauty in food. From the texture, color, shape, size and flavor, each ingredient adds something to the artistic and visual value of food. Today started with oatmeal and on to a lunch consisting of a fresh chicken and black bean salad with jalapanos, tomato, acavado and half a cup of low fat Colby cheese and apple slices! #healthyeating #beauityinfood

Day 7 - Hectic
It is so easy to get off track when life happens! I am two days off from posting and I can tell when life tends to get a little busy, I start to struggle in certain areas. Trust me, my eating habits are solid but keep up on work, family and all of the above catches up. So my submission for tonight is from this weekend starting Saturday and through tonight! Make your health and managing stress a priority. It's easy to fall back into bad habits when "busy" happens! Good night, Contiuned good health and success!

Evolution of eating
11/13: I have officially defeated technology and figured this blog thing out! Whew! Let's get to business, the evolution of food and how we eat started millions and millions of years ago when we were hunters and gathers. Food then was hunted killed and cooked on fire and eaten in the spot (even raw) As we evolved how we gathered, prepped, presented and eaten has changed. In 1900 dinner plated average size was 9", 1950 the average was around 10" and since then they cphabe continually grow from aware from 12"-16". Even silverware and serving bowls have grown. What has that left us with? A developing obesity epidemic and obesity related diseases. Please understand that I am not villafying food but does what we eat on affect our habits and choices? Were you ever told as a child,"you eat everything on your plate or you will not get your dessert!" It's that conditioning from a young age that has to a part shaped our habits. Being aware of how you eat, what you eat and the choices you make can be a recipe for success or disaster! Here is a phot update from my last meal on my normal plate on Monday November 9th to my first plate meals on Wednesday November 11th, Lunch on Thursady November 12th and breakfast this morning Friday November 13th on my new portion size dishes! Have a great weekend! Continued good health and success!
