Day 12 November 23

Made my Italian Pasta Salad...colorful and whole lot of goodness...my family can eat this every day if they could...

Day 13

Portioning has really stepped up my game with my greens!  I've noticed times when typically I would have skipped the greens - now I am pulling out the bowl and filling her up!  Definite win for me!

Day 12: November 22

Treat of the day... And what a treat it was! I'm finding its better to get one special thing than eat a lot of ok sweets. For example, if I had baked cupcakes from a box mix I wouldn't feel bad eating 2 of them. Buying one really special one made it a treat to be savored.

Day 11 November 22

The kids and the hubs wanted chicken wings... At first it was lets go to B-dubs but since we are cutting way back on eating out I offered to cooked our own wings... I got Smart Chicken winglets, season it with salt and pepper and broil. Three different sauces.. Honey Teriyaki, Buffalo Sauce and BBQ Sauce...and of course can't be wing night without carrots and celery with ranch!

Day 12: All American Dinner

Tonight I had a very "American dinner" that consisted of a baked potato, steak and asparagus. I think these comfort foods are okay in moderation.

Day 11 November 22

Sautéed red potatoes kielbasa onion and garlic in extra virgin olive oil left over and scrambled eggs...and my must have ... Coffee with almond creamer!!!!

Day 11

Portion bowl kept my soup to 2 cups!!  Yay!!
It also encouraged me to eat more kale!
Works both ways for me.
Love drinking my coffee in my beautiful cup!!

Day 11: November 21

One of my friends is visiting! We made enchiladas tonight. I forgot to take a picture of the ice cream snack we had, but I'm not craving sugar at all today- had some, but satisfied which is very different from before. Some usually leads to wanting more.

Day 10: November 20

Dinner party tonight- pizza from all over Omaha and wine tasting.

Day 11: Frozen Lunch

Sometimes it is hard to make fresh food for lunch so when I went shopping I went on a hunt for healthy frozen meals. I found this brand which looked really promising. After heating it up it was barely 1 cup. Surprisingly it was delicious and quite filling. In the future I may get a tortilla and eat that with it to be a little more filling.
